Driving directions to Portofino Bay View Grand Condo Rental from Cancun International Airport:
Take airport access road going east and follow signs to Zona Hotelera (Hotel Zone) and Blvd Kukulcan. Proceed north about six miles on Blvd Kukulcan, to the Punta Cancun area. The Portofino bay View Grand condo rental unit is on your right side directly across the street from Senor Frogs. It is about a 20 minute drive from the airport.

There is shuttle service from the airport to the hotel zone at a cost of around $12.00 per person. Authorized taxis are another way to make the journey from the airport to our Portofino Bay View Grand Condo rental for around $35 per cab. Transportation accommodations are readily available as you exit the terminal.

If booking a private shuttle we recommend using USA Transfers and you can book online by clickng here

How Get To Cancun so you can Enjoy the condo rental and attractions:
Cancun, Mexico is easily accessible from most major U.S. cities. Cancun is 75 minutes from Miami, 3 hours from New York and Chicago, and 4 hours from Los Angeles. Airlines that service Cancun include American, Alaska, Continental, Delta, Spirit Air, United, Northwest, US Airways, Aviacsa, Mexicana, and AeroMexico.

Getting around Cancun:
Our Portofino Bay View Grand Condo rental unit is located in the heart of the hotel zone. It is within walking distance of the numerous restaurants, shopping centers, nightclubs and bars and of course it is beach and oceanfront. Public buses connect the Hotel Zone to downtown and run the length of the hotel zone. They run 24/7 and come every few minutes and cost only about 65 cents US. Once downtown, most tourist attractions are easily accessible by walking. Downtown offers major US big box stores like Wal-Mart, Sams Club and Costco.

Rental cars offer a convenient way to visit historic points outside the city at very reasonable prices. Our personal favorite is Easy Way Car Rental. By far it is the best and safest place to rent a car from. They are the only agency to quote US Dollar and charge your credit card in US Dollars. Be advised liability insurance is mandatory with a car rental in Mexico at a cost of $11 per day. With tax and mandatory liability expect a little under $20 a day.

Do not take the collision insurance. Your major credit card will cover collision (check with your card company prior to departure). But most major credit cards will provide collision insurance for no charge.

They do take reservations online without the need of a credit card to make the reservation. Also I suggest making your reservations and then check back often and especially a few days before you go check the rates again as they usually go down within a few days from departure. Then if rates are cheaper cancel existing reservation and make a new one.
